The Sage Gateshead (North Music Trust) is committed to supporting the introduction and development of everyone within the arts. As part of this commitment we endeavour to consider, and where possible accommodate, any appropriate requests for work experience / student and volunteer placements.

We have recently revised our intake pattern for placements and now accept applications for work experience / student and volunteer placement opportunities on our website during the first three weeks of January, May and September. Our next intake will be September 2008.

We regret that we are unable to accept applications at any other time, and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We have introduced this system to ensure fairness in the accommodation of placements as well as to enable swifter handling of the large number of applications we receive.

Please note that we are unable to accommodate applications for paid placements or internships. Please also be aware that demand for placements often exceeds our ability to accommodate them, and we would urge you to consider other possible placements alongside any application made to The Sage Gateshead.

Applicants for volunteer placements should be aware that they will be required to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check.
