Critically acclaimed Scottish folk singer, guitarist and songwriter Alasdair Roberts, described as ‘one of Britain’s most singular and original talents’ (fRoots), returns to Sage Gateshead for an intimate duo performance with the London-based musician Olivia Chaney, following the release of his most recent album A Wonder Working Stone.
At the core of A Wonder Working Stone are Alasdair’s distinctive tenor voice and idiosyncratic open-tuned fingerstyle guitar and Olivia Chaney’s considerable harmonium and vocal talents; these will be on full display when Alasdair and Olivia perform with Lady Maisery.
