One of five regional networks established as part of MusicLeader, the national Youth Music initiative, MusicLeader North East is led and managed by The Sage Gateshead, delivered in partnership with regional organisations and supported by an online resource: www.musicleader.net. It is a service for everyone involved in youth music: musicians, teachers and project managers.
The service provides information, advice and guidance for anyone who wishes to develop their music leadership or project management skills, and signposting to our own, and other regional networking and training opportunities.
The programme contains three strands:
Information, Advice and Guidance Strand
Currently offering 1-2-1 Guidance Sessions for individuals and organisations to look at Training Needs Analysis and pathways to Career Development.
Network Strand
MLNE currently facilitates thirteen networks across the North East which include Regional Cluster groups, Network Days and Peer Development Groups (Tees Valley and Tyne and Wear Singing Squads, Percussion and Drumming Squad, Music Tech Squad, Folk Force and Steel Pan Squad).
Continuous Professional Development Strand
Developing training programmes as part of and within The Sage Gateshead Practitioner Development programme and with other regional delivery partners.
