We have relationships in Further Education across the region, encompassing collaborative course design and delivery, specialist modules, placement opportunities and staff training.
The Sage Gateshead aims to work in partnership with Further Education colleges to:
- improve significantly the quality of music provision and the learner experience at Further Education level in the North East of England
- enrich and extend opportunities for practitioners to improve delivery of teaching and learning activities
- facilitate networking and exchange of best practice, ideas, resources, personnel and energy
We plan to do this through:
- strategy and networking - bring people together for planning, debate and discussion
- training and development - supporting the continuing professional development of FE teachers
- curriculum projects - drawing from our artistic programme to create exciting special learning opportunities for students at the region's FE colleges
