Young Sinfonia


Young Sinfonia

The award-winning Young Sinfonia consists of approximately forty musicians and is the youth orchestra affiliated with and trained by Northern Sinfonia, with Alan Fearon as Ensemble Director. Over the past three years it has been conducted by international figures such as Garry Walker and Nicholas Kraemer and has been joined by distinguished soloists such as Howard Shelley, Richard Martin (Northern Sinfonia's Principal Trumpet) and the BBC Young Musician of the Year 2006 Mark Simpson. Members usually play at the standard of Grade 7/8 and above.
